CIRI MAM - Meccanica Avanzata e Materiali is the Interdepartmental Centre for Industrial Research of the University of Bologna that operates in the sectors of Advanced Mechanics and Materials.

With CIRI-MAM we have collaborated on project activities focused on reliability and strength testing in accordance with the requirements of ISO-12140 and regarding the improvement of Novel Jack's active and passive safety procedures.

CIRI-MAM has in-depth knowledge and laboratories equipped for advanced mechanical engineering and materials technology testing applications, as well as extensive experience in the development of safety monitoring systems for automatic machines.

In collaboration with the University of Bologna, SIMOL designed and built an exclusive test bench that allows us to test the extreme performance of our jacks directly in our factory, subjecting them to the stress tests required by ISO 12140.

The contribution of CIRI-MAM has been fundamental not only to analyse the performance of Novel Jack in static but also in dynamic conditions: the tests were performed in collaboration with the authoritative University of Bologna at our test bench.

Get to know CIRI-MAM

The Laboratory was set up in 2012 to support companies that intend to apply the IsoBUS standard (ISO 11783): communication protocol in the agricultural field.

To date, it represents the only ISOBUS Laboratory at national level, the fourth and one of the most active at international level, as well as currently being the head of THE PT01 subgroup, AEF physical layer.

Accredited by AEF (Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation) in 2015 through ENAMA, REI LAB provides support for the development of electronics and software to ensure compliance with the ISOBUS standard.

Collaboration with REI LAB allowed us to obtain Novel Jack's ISOBUS certification in November 2019.

Reggio Emilia Innovazione Fondazione is the official Italian ISOBUS Certification Centre accredited by the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF).

Specifically, REI Foundation certifies Novel Jack according to ISOBUS, ISO-11783.
